3. To use affiliate marketing to offset the cost of materials and try to pay for the build.

Now if you are new to affiliate marketing then please read on. If you already Blog for money or have affiliate websites what follows will not be new to you.

What I propose here is not a get rich scheme. It is a method of earning commission from a variety of sources to offset the cost of hosting your website and blog and contribute to your hobby costs. Successful bloggers and affiliate earn many thousand of pounds using this method. I do not as yet but remain optimistic that this blog can at least offset some of the build costs of this model boat.

So how is it done?

You will first need a blog or preferably a url and website. You can get a blog for free  from wordpress.

I prefer to have a website together with a blog attached.

Now let me explain the methods I will use on this blog (there are many others)

1 .Google adsense

2. Ebay Partner Network

3. Amazon.co.uk

Google Adsense.

You can read all about it here but basically Google pay you if anyone clicks on the adverts displayed on your website or blog. You will see on my blog front page a block of Google adverts. Each time someone clicks on them they are taken to another website. The person who owns that website pays Google for the traffic. Google then pay me a lot less for sending the traffic. Hence google make a profit and I get a small commission.

Ebay Partner Network

The EPN works in a similar way. You display ebay items on your website and ebay pay you when you introduce a buyer to a seller on the ebay network.

Amazon.co.uk

Amazon are world famous for their books but there are many things offered for sale on the Amazon nettwork. Once again this is a commission based affiliate scheme. I tend to display only books related to the particular website products.

If you wish to stick just to blogging then the above three are a good starter to earn some money. If you want to develop it further then you can build a website like Myfordengineeringauction.com

To do this you will need specialist software. I prefer to use the Build a niche store software. See easy guide below.(These are affiliate links and if you purchase through them I will earn a small commission.
 
1. Easy to use software. I use BUILD A NICHE STORES on all the above sites. It costs just $97 and has free upgrades. The Company are extremely helpful and the user forum is the best I have seen. If I can do it then anyone can!
 
 
 
 
2. An Easy method to host your new websites on the internet. I use Hostgator as they are helpful and easy to use. They are also very competitive. Despite living in the UK and they being based in the US there ticket system is fast and effective. For about £6 /7  per month you can host hundreds of websites should you wish!
 


 
 
3. An easy method to market your products. I use USFreeads. It is even free for small numbers of adds. I have even created an onlinecatalogue for my Antique Silver Business (this is an upgrade for which they charge).
 
 
Once you have purchased the Build A Niche Software and bought a domain name ( I buy mine through hostgator for $15 each per year) It is easy to create good quality websites to earn commissions from other sellers.
 
You will also need enthusiasm and dedication to build and grow your empire. This is NOT a get rich quick scheme.
